We liked that the hosts were especially friendly and welcoming, greeting us by name and taking a personal interest in our needs and wishes without imposing on our privacy. The venue was clean and fresh and met all our needs (as expected from such an establishment). The breakfast, which was included in the package, was of a high standard and prepared and served in a friendly and personable manner by the hosts, in a beautiful location where we could not only enjoy the good food but also the view.

Hosts Greg and Ali were very gracious. Our accommodations were very comfortable and the location near the beach and the Coromandel Peninsula made it ideal. It was so nice in the morning to go up to the dining room for breakfast and have Greg cheerfully greet us. Breakfast was very filling and delicious. Greg cooks a great banana pancake stake. Conversation was always very pleasant. We could have chatted all day with our friendly hosts. Greg and Ali were very helpful in planning day trips and ensuring that we had the right equipment with us (a spade for digging at Hot Water Beach). We will definitely return to the Waihi Beach Lodge again.
